F&d

Adelaide production team Funkwig & deNorthwode have forged formidable reputations within hip hop both collectively and individually. With extensive production credits on projects involving the likes of Abstract Rude, Spikey Tee, Resin Dogs, Katalyst, Koolism, Brothers Stoney, Mnemonic Ascent and many more, F&d’s refreshing and organic sound is unmistakable.

Drawing on their many influences as artists and producers, F&d have recently assembled a complete live band featuring an impressive array of musicians from around the country.
Individually, deNorthwode aka BVA makes up a third of Mmenonic Ascent.

Their debut album "Worship The Grit" is a blend of new sounds ranging from chilled out instrumentals to block rocking party jams and features a host of international artists. Out now.

              Curtis Mayfield - Roots
Curtis is the man when it comes to soul. His lyrics are pure genius. It is a soundtrack to fall in love to.

Jungle Brothers - JBeez with the Remedy
I still believe this is the Jungle Brothers at their best. And, sadly, one of their most slept-on albums.
My pick is "I'm in love with indica".

ATU - Mood Pieces
Another slept-on classic. His story-telling on this record is supreme. just check "inside her eyes".

Gangstarr - Step in to the Arena
I would listen to this album to get pumped up for school when I was a kid. Great morning music.

J Dilla - Donuts
i heard this record the day after dilla died and it broke my heart.
he is my favorite producer and he will sorely be missed. It is a
masterpiece and everyone should own it.

Organized Konfusion - Stress : The Extinction Agenda
Every time i listen to this record i like it more. Pharoahe Monch kills it with every verse especially "bring it on". also the artwork is rapturous.

Q Tip - Amplified
When this album dropped i was floored. The beats are killer. 100% party vibe. And still fills a dance floor. So get Jiggy

Devin the Dude - Just Tryin to Live
This was his second solo album. It is so slammin'. If you can track it down i assure you it will make onto high rotation.
